Your Control: All permissions are optional. All core features work without granting any device permissions. You can revoke permissions at any time through your browser settings.
Microphone Access Active
The language translator offers voice input functionality. When you use this feature:
- Your browser will ask for permission to access your microphone
- Voice data is processed locally in your browser using the Web Speech API
- Voice data is never recorded, stored, or transmitted to any server
- Speech recognition may use your browser vendor's cloud services (e.g., Google for Chrome)
- You can revoke microphone access at any time through your browser settings
Camera / Image Access Active
The language translator supports image-based translation through file upload. When you use this feature:
- Camera access will only be requested when you initiate a camera-based feature
- Images will be processed locally in your browser whenever possible
- If cloud processing is required for OCR/translation, you will be clearly informed
- Images are never stored on any server
- Camera access can be revoked at any time through your browser settings
Location Access Planned Feature
Optional location features for automatic currency detection may be added in the future. If implemented:
- Location will only be requested with your explicit consent
- Only approximate location would be used (city/region level)
- Location data would not be stored on any server
- You can always manually select your currency/region instead
